Freedom for Animals (Svoboda zvířat) focuses on legislative changes to benefit animals.
They are trying to change the laws so that animals do not suffer unnecessarily, live with dignity and their value is not derived only from their utility to humans.
The organisation recently celebrated 30 years since its founding and has a number of achievements to its credit. In the past it has campaigned for an end to dressage of wild animals in circuses, the end of fur farms in the Czech Republic and the phasing out of animal testing in the European Union.
The people who make up Freedom for Animals care about animals first and foremost, and they care that their campaigns have a real impact and that the public learns as much as possible about the issue. As a result, the organisation has been recognised several times. For example, last year it won the Czech Social Awards for its positive impact on society through social media campaigns.
Freedom for Animals is an independent organization that is funded by donations from individual donors. It does not accept any donations from individuals or companies that are not consistent with the organization's code of ethics or values.
