A year of helping Balinese animals
The year 2025 was again a very action-packed year for Balibaba. It brought dozens of rescued animals, important preventive actions and several challenging crisis situations. Thanks to your support, many crucial steps were taken to improve the lives of animals in Bali.
Castration days
The first neutering day took place in June 2025 and was funded thanks to the support of VAKOVAKO. In one day we managed to castrate 76 dogs and cats a 94 animals vaccinated against rabies.
In December, a second castration day followed, during which more were castrated 50 dogs and cats a 78 animals vaccinated. These actions are essential for population control and disease prevention.
Fundraiser: Two Dumped Puppies in Bali
In June Balibaba rescued two puppies, Peaco and Sempol with serious leg fractures. In the fundraiser you donated to their treatment more than CZK 50,000. After five months in the clinic they were finally healthy in October and were adopted by a member of the Balibaba team, manager Koming. They are two little devils who clearly want to make up for their long stay in the clinic, so the garden and the house could tell a story. Both dogs were neutered in December.
Rabies - prevention that saves lives
In August, on the anniversary of Misha being bitten by a rabies positive dog, we vaccinated 75 wild dogs on the beaches in the area. Preventing rabies is one of the most important parts of Balibaba's work because it protects not only animals but also people.
Fundraiser: Dog With Severe Leg Injury
In August, Balibaba rescued a dog named Brewok who suffered two serious leg injuries in just 14 days. In the fundraiser you donated to his treatment over CZK 25,000. Brewok was fully cured, successfully rehabilitated and today he is happily adopted.
Fundraiser: Dogs in Bali Need Help After Floods
In September, Bali was hit by devastating floods. Funds from the Balibaba fundraiser were sent to help the flooded shelter through the foundation Mission Paws who coordinated the aid. In the fundraiser you donated almost CZK 80,000. The shelter is now partially repaired and a new, safer place for its construction is being sought. Despite further heavy rains and local flooding, the situation is now stable.
Fundraiser: Dog Escaped Certain Death
In November Balibaba rescued a female Lakhsmi who had a serious chest injury. Probably someone tried to kill her for the meat. Thanks to quick help, she is fine today and has found a new home. You donated to her treatment CZK 15,000.
Fundraiser: Christmas for Balinese Paws
The Christmas fundraiser raised CZK 100.000 which will be used for the next neutering days, continuing vaccination of dogs on the beaches, buying medicines against skin parasites, daily feeding and of course for urgent acute cases, which will hopefully be as few as possible.
What else happened
In addition to these fundraisers, Balibaba has managed to:
- to rescue and cure the dog with chemotherapy Sheru with severe TWT tumors (transmissible venereal tumor is a contagious tumor in dogs that is transmitted by direct cell contact), who was thrown away; today he is healthy and adopted,
- to rescue the dog from the river,
- sponsor and save four females with puppies that have been dumped on the beach or in the street at various times,
- to rescue a young dog who was treated, operated on, neutered and eventually adopted by a gardener from the Balibaba team.
Unfortunately, it was not possible to save everyone, although the team did their best. Even so, 2025 was an extremely strong, challenging year, full of concrete help. We are very proud of Balibaba and her entire team.
