Fundraiser: Let’s Vaccinate and Sterilise 650 Dogs on Bali

Free and resilient. Yet they still need your help.

Stray dogs are as much a part of Bali as its beaches. Without sterilisation and vaccination, though, they breed uncontrollably and spread disease, including rabies. Bali sees 180 animal bite cases every day.

Michaela Lázňovská, known as Bába na Bali, runs guest accommodation on the island and couldn’t look away from its strays. With the nonprofit Baba Peduli Bali, she organises sterilisation days where up to 150 dogs are sterilised and vaccinated in a single day. Beyond sterilisation, she cares for the dogs: she feeds many of them every day and provides veterinary care.

Sterilising and vaccinating one dog costs about EUR 22. The goal is approx EUR 14,400 for five sterilisation days, during which we’ll sterilise and vaccinate 650 dogs. Each one means fewer puppies on the street and less disease for dogs and people alike.
