Today, polar bears are becoming more vulnerable to extinction — and climate change is to blame.

Polar bears are dependent on sea ice to hunt. But because the summer sea ice is now melting earlier than ever before, polar bears are now being driven to swim longer distances and come to shore, in search of what little food there is for them.

Polar bears were never built for journeys lasting this long, especially for young polar bear cubs.
