The Elephangelist

Learn the story of Arthur Sniegon, a Czech who is changing the fate of animals in Africa.

Donate with VAKOVAKO to protect forest elephants and help the fragile ecosystems of Central Africa survive!

In 2012, Arthur founded Save-Elephants, with which he is involved in monitoring the African wilderness, raising awareness of animal conservation issues, as well as working with locals to achieve coexistence with large animals.

His main activity, however, is to combat the illegal ivory trade, where he is involved in uncovering trafficking networks. This is done in collaboration with other organisations such as EAGLE and the World Wildlife Fund. Through this work, Arthur has already managed to intercept thousands of shipments of contraband, arrest dozens of traffickers of ivory or other wildlife products and locally reduce poaching pressure and the environment of impunity.
