Only two northern white rhinos remain in the world
Females Najin and Fatu, born at the Czech ZOO Dvur Kralove nad Labem and transferred to the Kenyan conservancy Ol Pejeta in 2009. But they are not alone. Ol Pejeta is also home to the largest population of the Eastern black rhinoceros in all of Africa. Both of these rare animals face the same threat every single day – poachers hunting them for their horns.

The only thing standing between these rhinos and extinction are the rangers. 200 trained guards divided into two specialised units protect the conservancy around the clock, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They cover up to 20 km on foot every day, monitor every rhino, report on their health and location, and respond immediately to any threat. Every rhino must be spotted at least once every three days – that is their commitment.
The rangers are armed, trained and determined. But they need our support. Training, equipment, uniforms, medical care – without sufficient funding their mission cannot continue.

The goal of this fundraiser is to raise EUR 1,300 – equivalent to one month's salary for approximately five rangers. Every euro you donate goes directly to those standing on the frontline of wildlife conservation.
The northern white rhino and the Eastern black rhinoceros are on the brink of extinction. Extinction is irreversible – there are no second chances.
