Congo: The Price of an Elephant

New documentary exposes the harsh realities of the ivory trade

An extraordinary documentary will premiere in autumn 2025 Congo: The price of an elephant which takes viewers into the heart of Africa and reveals the hidden mechanisms of the black market in ivory. Starring singer and activist Ben Cristovao and conservationist Arthur Sniegon who together travel to dangerous areas where poaching threatens the last populations of forest elephants.

You can look forward to breathtaking footage of African nature, but above all, an authentic look at the dramatic struggle for survival of one of the most endangered animals on the planet. The film will seek answers to fundamental questions: Why are forest elephants threatened with extinction? Who is behind the illegal ivory trade? And what can each of us do to save them?

Help can start today

We'll have to wait for the premiere, but you can help now. Even a small financial contribution to a Czech non-profit organization Save-Elephants can help protect elephants and prevent their extinction.

Save-Elephants since 2012, focuses on anti-poaching, wildlife monitoring, education and supporting local communities to live in harmony with large mammals.

VAKOVAKO is the general partner of the film.
