Fundraiser: Education on Ocean and Sea Turtle Conservation in Indonesia
Support sea turtle education today
A Festival That Teaches Kids on Sulawesi to Love the Ocean
Every September, the island of Sulawesi in Indonesia hosts Polman Ocean Fest. Three days of marine education, coastal clean-ups, and challenges for students, organized by the local nonprofit Laut Biru, who work year-round on turtle and coral conservation and mangrove planting.

The festival has run four times since 2022, drawing 150 to 200 participants each year, including school students, local communities, and international volunteers, all learning how to protect the sea that surrounds their home.
Last year, the organization ran a beach and underwater clean-up. In just an hour and a half, 100 students collected three tons of waste along 400 meters of coastline.
This year, the festival is at risk of not happening at all. Laut Biru has been unable to secure sponsors and is short on the basic funds needed to run the event.

Let's help change that. We're raising €1,000 to cover this year's festival costs. With your support, Polman Ocean Fest can go ahead in 2026, and with it, another year of protecting turtles, corals, and mangroves on Sulawesi. Because educating children is the single most important thing we can do to protect the ocean and its wildlife. 💙
This fundraiser is backed by the organization Save Turtle.
